The National Street Food Festival 2025 is all set to take place in Delhi at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium today onwards until the 14th of December. The three-day extravaganza organised by NASVI will have over 300+ street food vendors retailing around 560 different dishes to hungry visitors. Representing 29 states and union territories from across India, the festival will also include street food dishes from Tibet, Nepal, the Phillippines and Afghanistan. Amongst the dishes on offer will be timeless favourites such as mirchi vada, noon chai and cone chaat as well as some lesser-known, unusual creations like garlic kheer, murgh-fulka and bamboo fish. In addition to this, the festival also plans on hosting competitions like Biryani Battle, Pani Puri Contest as well as hold a designated section at the venue for chaat preparations and chai.
Multiple artists and entertainers are all set to regale guests with their performances while children will also be able to have their share of fun with games and painting activities. Kickstarting at noon, the 15th edition is also special for the vendors since they will be commemorating the silver jubilee of the National Association of Street Vendors of India. The objective of the festival is to highlight the diversity of cuisines within the country along with highlighting the contributions of vendors to the cultural fabric. The festival also focusses on the women whose skills and dedication have sustained the food culture. From tandoor grills to ice shaving machines, it promises something for everyone’s taste preferences.

Earlier in February, the city also hosted the Amrit Udyan festival where street food was celebrated on the grounds of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Delhi also witnesses the World Food India conference each year where hospitality and business intersect to give a boost to India’s ever-expanding scope for culinary diversification.
