Planning a house party or stocking up on drinks for a festive get-together in Delhi may become a little easier, all thanks to the Delhi liquor booking facility. The service lets eligible customers browse through liquor brands, look for the availability at selected stores, reserve bottles and pay online before going out to collect their purchases. The app has been created to make the buying process more organised, especially during busy periods when queues at liquor shops take up much time.
The facility is operated by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) and currently covers 208 liquor outlets run by the corporation. However, there is an essential detail buyers should know before placing their order: this is an online booking and payment service, and not a home-delivery platform. You will still have to visit the store you have selected and collect your purchases within a fixed timeframe. Here is how the service works and what to keep in mind before using it.
What Is The Delhi Liquor Booking App?
The Delhi Liquor Booking app lets customers check which liquor brands and bottle sizes are available at DSIIDC authorised stores. Once they select their desired products and outlet, they can pay digitally and receive a QR code that has to be shown at the time of liquor collection.
The facility aims to reduce queues at shops, ease stress on billing counters during busy days and allow buyers to check stock before visiting the store physically. Delhi has more than 700 government-operated liquor outlets run by four corporations, so the service does not yet cover the whole retail network.

How To Book Liquor Through The App
The booking process is relatively very simpler. You can follow these steps to book through the app:
1. Download and register: Download the Delhi liquor Booking app and register using a mobile number and complete the needed age confirmation.
2. Browse available brands: Explore the liquor brands listed on the app and look for which products are available at the participating stores.
3. Select bottle size and quantity: Choose the preferred brand, bottle size and the number of bottles you want to purchase.
4. Choose a store: Select a DSIIDC-operated outlet where you want to collect your order. Check the product selection and booking details before proceeding.
5. Make the payment: Complete the transaction using the online payment facility. Upon booking confirmation, the app generates a QR code.
6. Collect your order: Visit the selected outlet within 48 hours of payment. Show the QR code to the staff for verification to collect the orders made.
Who Can Use The Service?
The online booking facility is for adults who meet Delhi’s legal drinking-age requirement of 25 years. Customers below this age cannot use it to buy liquor, and placing an order through the app does not offer an exemption from the Delhi Excise Department’s rules. The normal restrictions on how much alcohol a person can buy continue to apply. In other words, the app changes the way customers check availability and pay; it does not change who is legally permitted to buy alcohol or the quantity they can purchase.
There are also a few conditions to remember before placing an order. A booking is linked to the selected DSIIDC outlet, so customers must collect their bottles from that same store rather than picking another outlet at the last minute. The order remains available for collection only for 48 hours after booking.

Who Can Use The Service?
The Delhi Liquor Booking facility is available to customers who are at least 25 years old, in line with the capital’s excise rules. Age eligibility is not the only restriction: the existing purchase limits continue to apply even when an order is placed online. Under the applicable rules, an individual can purchase up to 9 litres of whisky and 18 litres of beer. Booking through the app does not raise these limits or let customers bypass the regulations followed at physical liquor stores.
Customers should also look at which outlet they select before paying. The facility currently covers 208 liquor stores operated by DSIIDC, whereas Delhi’s four government corporations together run more than 700 outlets. This means the online booking option is not available across every government-run liquor shop in the city.
