Food has always been an unspoken medium, especially in The Summer I Turned Pretty, where every savoury dish is infused with emotion. The aching, the kitchen scenes, the beach snacking, and the lengthy holiday dinners that were as poignant as the love story itself are all brought back by revisiting Cousins Beach if you have been missing it. Food becomes a component of maturing, falling in love, and discovering oneself when Belly Conklin is at the centre. Naturally, you miss the plot as much as you miss the Fisher brothers, Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. Rewatching is about more than simply romance; it's about reliving that cosy, summertime atmosphere where every mouthful and gaze across the table had a deeper meaning.

With sunny breakfasts, warm evenings, and beachfront snacks that made you wish you were in Cousins, there were some almost too-perfect eating moments in The Summer I Turned Pretty. Others had a certain tension that subtly made you wonder if you were on Team Jeremiah or Team Conrad. Maybe it's time to attempt making some of those recipes yourself, though, if those scenes made you yearn for a taste of that summer.

Peaches & Peach-Filled Dishes

This seasonal fruit can be served in a variety of ways during your watch party, paying homage to the classic peach stand setting scene. Serve fresh slices as is, bake it into a cobbler, or toss it into your favourite salad to remind everyone that #teambonrad is endgame.

Pomegranate Margaritas

These vibrant, fruity margaritas, which were inspired by the Fourth of July picnic, perfectly embody Belly's naughty and fun side. Before the celebration, fill your favourite pitcher with a large amount of the well-known margarita flavour. However, as visitors begin to sip, make sure that the cake stands are hidden from view.

Chocolate Cake With A Mirror Glaze & Raspberry Coulis

Jeremiah's request for a wedding cake, which is a two-tier dark chocolate cake with raspberry coulis filling and a mirror glazing, of course, will undoubtedly be as dramatic as the finale, viewers worldwide can bet. Online, fans have made fun of Jeremiah for seemingly caring more about the cake than anything else, making it an absurd need during watch parties.

Lemon Squares

Laurel, Belly's mother, specialises in lemon squares, a delectable and seasonal delicacy. Laurel unexpectedly shows up for Belly's bridal shower to express her support for Belly and Jeremiah's engagement. It only makes logical sense to include these sweet treats on the menu for a watch party, especially because Belly expressed thanks for both Laurel's presence and the lemon treats!

Sour Patch Candies

Belly's favourite candy is Sour Patch Kids, which Conrad always remembers to include in one of his frequent deliveries to Paris. For convenient munching without taking your eyes from the screen, scatter packs of the sour-sweet treats around the table or pour them into dishes.

Dirt Bombs

What are dirt bombs, anyway? In the scene, they are hidden beneath a transparent round cake cover, and from what you can see, they don't appear to be very interesting. But if you had to know more because the term is so absurd, then the truth is that they exist. Basically, they are muffins with a buttery cinnamon sugar coating for a quick sugar rush. They are less light and airy and more substantial. The batter has twice as much butter!

Mickey Mouse Pancakes

Every year, she famously enjoys a stack of Mickey Mouse pancakes. Mouse-shaped flapjacks may be made using any pancake batter recipe. They are quite easy to prepare! Shape the ears and face with a spoon. It may require some practice, but you'll be astonished at how easy it is. Decorate Mickey's face with your favourite candy or fruit.

Hot Cocoa

Who would forget that Belly's ‘speciality’ is cocoa? She doesn't appear to be as skilled at producing it as she believes, though, despite her assertion. She not only fills the mugs with pure tap water, but Corad even calls the beverage ‘dusty’. But your cup of hot cocoa need not be dusty; you can make the simple, handmade hot chocolate taste much better with just a little more work.
