Asia's 50 Best Bars has announced its extended 51–100 ranking for 2026. The announcement offers an early glance into the most thrilling cocktail destinations around the world. The Top 50 announcement is still scheduled for July 28, 2026. This list is believed to be one of the most significant rankings in the global bar industry, which celebrates innovation, hospitality, and exceptional drinks. This year's extended list features bars from 25 cities, with many new places making their debut.

For India, the revelation has brought compelling news as two Indian bars have also earned spots in the 51 to 100 ranking. Beyond India, Nepal also secured a place on the list, highlighting the growing prominence of South Asian bars on the international stage. Altogether, these entries show how the region is gaining greater visibility among Asia's leading drinking destinations.

Goa’s Bar Outrigger Ranked 51

Ranked No. 51, Bar Outrigger is one of the best Indian bars as per Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026 extended list. Situated in Goa, the bar pulls inspiration from classic Polynesian tiki culture while adding a unique Goan twist. Its cocktail culture circles an amazing selection of Indian as well as international rums, with drinks that have local ingredients such as kokum, cashew apple, coconut, pineapple, cinnamon, and regional spices infused in them.

Guests often visit this place for its Mai Tai, Daiquiri variety, rum punches, and seasonal cocktails, many of which represent Goa's tropical crop. Beyond just the drinks, this bar is equally loved for its food. Popular picks are fish tacos, prawn sliders, calamari, grilled seafood, and peri-peri chicken, which complement the bold, fruity, and citrus-based cocktails perfectly.

Delhi’s Aabbcc Ranked 85

At No. 85, Aabbcc showcases the national capital's growing prominence as a destination for world-class mixology. Unlike the bars that depend on a fixed cocktail menu, Aabbcc is loved for its seasonal menu, where drinks circle around fresh produce, in-house-made ferments, clarified juices, infusions, and also Indian botanicals. The emphasis is on skill, with every cocktail built on flavour, texture, and as well as.

The bar's signature tasting cocktails, creative highballs, milk punches, and spirit-forward masterpieces are often loved by people as they are reimagined using Indian ingredients. The culinary culture is equally loved, with small bites, Japanese-inspired plates, tacos, skewers, gourmet sliders, and charcoal-grilled dishes that perfectly pair with the drinks.

This focus on pairing food and cocktails has made the place one of the most talked-about dining and drinking destinations in Delhi.

Kathmandu's Barc Ranked 61

South Asia's representation goes far beyond India, with Barc from Kathmandu on the list, which has secured No. 61 on the list. The bar has been recognised for offering Himalayan-based ingredients in the form of thoughtfully crafted cocktails while also mixing the regional flavours with modern bartending techniques.

It first made a name as Nepal's first entry on the list in 2025, and highlights the growing pace of the country’s bar scene, displaying the wider evolution of cocktail culture spanning across South Asia.

Why This Recognition Is Important

While the ranking sits outside the main Top 50, it remains an essential benchmark for bars across Asia. Many places that have been featured in the 51–100 list go on to rise into the flagship rankings next year. For Indian bars, international recognition enables showcasing local talent, regional ingredients, and homegrown hospitality to a broader global audience.

It also mirrors the evolving sophistication of India's bar culture, where bartenders are experimenting with indigenous produce, local spices, spirits, and storytelling through cocktails.

A Positive Moment For South Asia

This year's extended list may have featured only a handful of South Asian names, but their existence is important. With the inclusion of bars from Goa, New Delhi, and Kathmandu on the list, the rankings identify a region that is rapidly carving out its own individuality in Asia's affluent cocktail geography.
