7 Houston Street Food Places To Go

1. Tierra Caliente Tacos

Before you've had Tacos Tierra Caliente and West Alabama Ice House in one fell swoop, you can't call yourself a Houstonian. The mobile taqueria anchors itself to a parking spot across from the iconic Texas icehouse, refusing to move on its wheels. Take a few Trompo, Pastor, and Barbacoa tacos (with all the cilantro, onions, and hot red and green sauces), move them to the icehouse's picnic table, and serve them with a delicious Texas beer. You truly are a local now.

Timings: Mon-Sun: 10:00 am to 11:00 pm

It is all traditionally served with a generous portion of red and white sauce.

Spoon swirling organic milk ice cream into it, then top with as many Oreos, Gummy Bears, blackberries, or toasted coconut flakes as you like.

Since before food trucks became popular, cities with high pedestrian traffic have been the ideal environment for food trucks to flourish. However, street food vendors in Houston, a city centred on the isolation of the car and the demonization of pedestrians, have developed an odd new habit. Check out Houston's finest!
