It is rather difficult for us to imagine our lives without paneer or cottage cheese. Every time we are out of options, we turn our gaze towards one block of paneer and we are sorted. We know we can either make a bhurji out of it, or a gravy item, or we can simply chop it up and toss it in a salad. Paneer is equally excellent in dry preparations, which makes it our first choice when it comes to starters. Think: Paneer tikka, Paneer Shashlik. Here are six of our all-time favourite, dry paneer recipes that are the life of every party.
Paneer Kulcha
Paneer Kulcha is a leavened flat bread stuffed with scrambled cottage cheese and green chillies. The Punjabi bread is best paired with chole, raita or chutney.
Paneer tikka
Is it even a party if the waiter does not cross you with a plate of paneer tikka at least twice. A crowd favourite, paneer tikka are paneer cubes marinated in yoghurt and herbs and grilled till perfection. Pair it with mint chutney and you are good to go.

Potato Paneer Cutlets
Soft from inside, cripsy and crumbly from outside, paneer cutlets is an excellent breakfast option. You can also carry them for picnics and potlucks. They are easy to make, all you need to do is runny mix and mash some paneer with spices, run it over some breadcrumbs and fry until crisp.
