While you recall the food memories of childhood, popsicles are among the top ten delights that come to everyone’s mind. Having an interesting origin, this sugary treat is basically a frozen dessert that is served on a stick. Available in plenty of flavours, their sticks also used to be a part of arts and crafts in schools. But have you ever thought of creating a world record with popsicle sticks?
A Brazilian YouTuber named Manual do Mundo attempted to do so and was successful in marking his name in the Guinness Book of World Records. He built a 78-foot-1-inch tower from popsicle sticks. The Guinness Book of World Records posted a video on their official Instagram page in which Mundo can be seen achieving the milestone. Here is the video. Take a look.
It was made in Sao Paulo and his team started building the tower from a 23.81-metre-tall structure, shifting from table to ground. Mundo and his team took help from a crane to make it stand upright. They were very excited while making the tower, but they also had to face many challenges. A disaster struck in the middle and the popsicle structure broke into two parts.
However, Mundo had a strong faith in his team, and in the end, they finally did it. The video was shared with the caption, “Tallest popsicle stick structure: 23.81 metres (78 ft 1 in) by Manual do Mundo.” The post has more than 348k views and 11.3k likes. Brazilians in the comment section were very proud of Mundo for setting this record. Many people were also curious to know how many popsicle sticks he used for building the tower.
According to a report by Guinness World Records, this record was set last year in December. The official site revealed that Mundo’s team consisted of 16 people who were involved in achieving this record-breaking moment. Unfortunately, just 3 minutes after the official measurement was done, the popsicle tower was knocked down by the wind.
