One of my personal favourites and most-tried weekday meals, the homemade quesadilla trend was undeniably one of the best things that ruled the internet this year. The recipe is easy, laborsaving and irresistibly delicious. The tortilla is sliced from the middle halfway through and different fillings are added to each quadrant and fold it to make a triangle. Pan-sear it to cook it to perfection and dig in.
2. Pasta Chips
One of the most creative and easiest ways to savour pasta, the internet trend of pasta chips gained around 22 million views on TikTok in no time. The pasta is first boiled then seasoned and popped into the oven or air-fryer to be cooked to perfection.
3. Baked Feta
Is there anything to say about this trend that’s not being said yet? The baked feta cheese trend sparked myriads of cheese dishes from pastas to dips and soups. The trend came to the limelight with a baked feta pasta recipe. With barely six ingredients and appetizing visuals, the pasta dish was tried by many netizens.
4. The Fake Cake Game
From fruits to soft drinks cans and even shoes, the shapes that bakers tried their hands at this year were endless. The hyper-realistic cakes blew our minds and kept us hooked to them for a very long time. The trend just didn’t step down from the viral victory pedestal.
5. Baked Oats
Flavoured baked oats ruled the internet for a very long period. From blueberry, citrus and birthday cake, the flavours of the baked oats are truly endless. The baked oats are a cross between breakfasts and desserts. Undoubtedly, these baked oats are one of the best breakfast dishes that were trending on the internet this year.
