Rank #6 Gaggan, Bangkok

Continuing the legacy Gaggan built in 2024, the restaurant by Gaggan Anand is still in the top 10 of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Jumping ahead from the 9th position, in 2025, Gaggan in Bangkok has secured the 6th rank, and also the tag for Best Restaurant in Asia.

Continuing to push boundaries with its signature modern Indian cuisine, here’s how The World’s 50 Best describes Gaggan: “For a second year in a row, Gaggan is named The Best Restaurant in Asia 2025, as part of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.”

“Kolkata-born Gaggan Anand pursued music professionally before starting his culinary career. From a trainee position at luxury hotel group Taj, he progressed to work at El Bulli in Spain alongside Ferran Adrià, an experience that instilled in him a love for gastronomic wizardry,” their recently shared Instagram post reads. “He founded the first iteration of his eponymous restaurant, Gaggan, in Bangkok in 2010.

In the latest location, a vibrant yet intimate atmosphere is created through rustic design – walls are adorned with neon lights, and blue chairs complement the concrete columns and high ceilings.”

Evoking all senses of the guests, Gaggan is known for its interactive menu. Represented by emojis like ‘lick the plate’, the restaurant truly makes the dining experience immersive and playful. As per reports, some of the most loved signature dishes include ‘Yoghurt Explosion’ and ‘Lick It Up,’ and are known to showcase impeccable culinary artistry.

Expressing his gratitude on the big win, Gaggan Anand posts on his Instagram handle, “First time on the list was in 2013, and 12 years later, still making waves... still trendy... still Instagram-worthy! Thanks to everyone for your love and faith! We're on a journey to reinvent ourselves, reimagine, and be reborn again and again.”

Rank #27 Trèsind Studio, Dubai

Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, Trèsind Studio, has yet again found its place in the top 50 of the World’s Best Restaurants, this time with an impeccable rank of 27. This intimate 20-seater establishment, under the expert guidance of Chef Himanshu Saini, has also been crowned "The Best Restaurant in the Middle East 2025."

Celebrating Indian cuisine on the world stage, the reporters from the World’s 50 Best Restaurants describe, “From humble beginnings in a backroom of its sister restaurant, Trèsind, Himanshu Saini has steered Trèsind Studio to its current position as one of the world’s most renowned Indian restaurants in less than a decade. Rather than the often-employed blanket approach to India’s cuisine, Saini and his team guide diners through a nuanced yet approachable exploration of 17 dishes that tell the story of the country’s rich and diverse cultural, agricultural and religious heritage.”

The tasting menu, titled ‘Rising India,’ Trèsind Studio is taking Indian cuisine all across the globe. Built on the Indian tradition of “Atithi Devo Bhava,” the diners feel at home at the restaurant with a menu that celebrates traditional Indian dishes from all regions of the country.

Being named The Best Restaurant in the Middle East 2025 and ranked #27 in the world is a proud and humbling milestone. To everyone who has supported us, our guests, industry peers, and friends worldwide, thank you for believing in us.”
