World Vegan Day: 5 Vegan Smoothies For Your Rescue

All vegans out there, here’s the day to celebrate your vegan and environment-friendly food choices. World Vegan Day is celebrated on 1st November every year to draw the attention of people towards adopting vegan choices while contributing to environmental protection. This day was actually started by the UK Vegan society on 1st November 1994. 

A vegan diet does not include dairy products, milk, butter, or cheese but only grains, seeds, leguminous plants, fruits, nuts, dry fruits, etc. For all the vegans who love having smoothies but can’t because of their strict diet, here are 5 vegan smoothie recipes for your rescue. Have a look and celebrate your choices at your best.

Choco-Expresso Smoothie

  • 11 ml milk (almond or oat or cashew or coconut milk)
  • 30 ml espresso coffee 
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 banana 
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 dates

Method

  • Blend plant milk, and expresso coffee in a blender. (You can also add ice cubes)
  • Add banana, cocoa powder, peanut butter, and dates. Blend it.
  • When in thick and creamy consistency, pour it into a glass.
  • Top with banana slices and serve. 

Mango-Ginger Smoothie 


  • 100 ml plant milk (almond or oat or cashew or coconut milk)
  • 1 cup mango slices
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup ginger 
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

Method

  • Take a blender and add plant milk to it.
  • Add mango slices, vanilla extract, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and coconut sugar.
  • Blend everything into a thick and creamy consistency. 
  • Pour it into a glass and serve with mango slices on top.

Vanilla-Hemp Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 100 ml plant milk (almond, oats, cashew or coconut)
  • 1 tbsp cashew butter
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp hemp protein powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar 
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder

Method

  • Take a blender and add plant milk, banana slices, cashew butter, coconut sugar, hemp protein powder, and vanilla extract.
  • When almost done, add cocoa powder and blend again.
  • Pour it into a glass and sprinkle cocoa powder.
  • Serve.

Walnut Raspberry Smoothie


Ingredients

  • 100 ml almond milk
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs
  • 1/3 cup raspberries

Method

  • Take a blender and add milk.
  • Add walnuts, banana slices, cacao nibs, and raspberries.
  • Blend to the desired consistency and pour into a glass.
  • Garnish with raspberries and serve.

Apple Pie Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 100 mil coconut milk
  • ½ cup oats (soaked in water and drained)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 apple (diced)
  • ½ cup water

Method

  • Take a blender and add coconut milk.
  • Add soaked oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, almond butter, water, and apple.
  • Blend everything together and pour it into a glass.
  • Top with sliced apples and serve.
