Today is a joyous moment for all rum lovers across the globe as its a day to celebrate the existence of the classic alcoholic spirit. Typically made from fermented sugarcane or molasses, this beverage is super versatile and is also good for warming up your body during monsoon or winter season. Known to be a strong drink, rum can also be transformed into a soft drink when diluted in water or served as a cocktail.

Rum On The Beach

Ingredients: 

  • 60 ml white rum
  • 45 ml cranberry juice 
  • 5 ml peach syrup 
  • 30 ml orange juice 
  • Ice cubes 
  • Orange and edible flower 

Method 

  • In a cocktail glass, add a few ice cubes. Add peach syrup and cranberry juice and stir well. 
  • Add orange juice slowly so that it settles on top. 
  • Pour white rum slowly for it to settle on top of the cocktail. 
  • Garnish with burnt orange slice, orange peels and edible flower. 

Pablo's Passtime

Ingredients 

  • 50 ml light rum  
  • 30 ml fake lime  
  • 20 ml mint cordial  
  • 2 drops Thai bitters  

Method 

  • Shake and fine strain all the ingredients with ice. 
  • Pour it into a glass.  
  • Garnish with a mint leaf. Enjoy.

Spice Me Up

  • 10 ml Italian bitters 
  • 15 ml vanilla smoked bourbon syrup  
  • 15 ml lime juice  
  • 60 ml spices infused rum

Method 

  • Shake all the ingredients together and pour it a highball glass. 
  • Garnish with an umbrella for a tropical feeling. Enjoy.
