Cocktails have become a beloved libation among many, boasting an array of delectable flavours and tantalizing ingredients to tantalize the taste buds. May 13 marks World Cocktail Day, and it is a perfect occassion to raise our spirits with some innovative drinks for us and our booze mates. And what better way to do this than muddling some exquisite libations at home using your creativity and imagination. Bringing recipes of two such creative concoctions Yangdup Lama, a Mixologist, shares some interesting ideas. These are both quick and fancy! These two cocktails are simple and can be prepared in a jiffy. 

World Cocktail Day allows one to try new cocktails and appreciate the art of mixology. It is a day to celebrate the creativity and skill of bartenders who craft unique and delicious cocktails. So, let us raise a glass and enjoy the flavours of this day. 

Roasted Toasted Manhattan

Indulge in the bold, complex flavours of the Roasted Toasted Manhattan Cocktail, featuring a delightful touch of caramel sweetness and coffee bitter. This silky-smooth nightcap offers the perfect balance of taste and character, making it a treat for anyone who appreciates a unique and flavorful cocktail. 


  • 50 ml Budweiser Magnum Double Barrel Whiskey 
  • 30 ml Reduced Budweiser Magnum Beer 
  • 20 ml caramel cordial 
  • 20 ml black espresso


Pour all the ingredients into the shaker, close the lid and thoroughly shake to mix them well. Serve it in a glass. 

Garnish with grated toasted almond.

American Pie

American Pie cocktail

An elaborate recipe, this cocktail boasts a full-bodied taste profile with a combination of sweet-tart and oaky vanillin flavours - leaving you with a long lingering finish. It serves as a perfect concoction for enjoying a cosy evening or as a dessert drink. 


  • 60 ml Budweiser Magnum double barrel whiskey  
  • 60 ml apple juice reduction          
  • 10 ml maple syrup
  • 10 ml fresh lime juice


Pour all the ingredients into a shaker, give them a thorough shake and strain into a stem glass. 

Garnish the drink with dehydrated apple and grated cinnamon powder.
