Ingredients

  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • ½ teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 2 green chilies (chopped)
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Cloves
  • Salt to taste

Method


  • Grind the following ingredients:

½ cup chopped onions

½ teaspoon chopped ginger

1 teaspoon chopped garlic

2 green chilies (chopped)

  • The paste will be ready keep it aside.
  • Add 1 cup of peas and grid them, without using water.
  • Heat the pan & add 2 table spoons of mustard oil
  • Now add ¾ cup of chopped potato and sauté it golden brown on low to medium heat.
  • Now add 1 tej patta (Indian bay leaf), 3 cloves and ½ teaspoon cumin seeds on the same pan until the spices crackle and splutter and then the onion paste and stir well
  • Now add ⅓ cup of diced tomatoes, Mix and sauté till the tomatoes soften.
  • Add all the dry spices and mix well and add the peas.
  • After that add 3 tablespoons of fresh coriander and add some water and salt.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes on low to medium heat and will notice oil separating and the gravy is done now.
  • Now add the fried potatoes and garam masala powder. Mix them for about a minute.

Serve it with rotis, pooris or steamed rice or plain paratha, can add lemon and sliced onions as per your choice!
