Pickle, aka 'achaar', has been an essential part of the Indian culinary graph. Almost eaten each day as a part of daily meals, a blob of achaar on the side lifts the taste on the plate. Everything is pickled in our country, whether carrots, mangoes, turnips, chillies, garlic, radish or jackfruit. With the temperature dropping along and the variety of veggies being available in the market, it’s pretty common that they are turned into pickles. So here are three pickles that you shouldn't miss this season.



  1. Coriander powder-2 teaspoon
  2. Red chilli powder-1 teaspoon
  3. Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
  4. Mustard powder-1 teaspoon
  5. Cumin-powder-1 teaspoon
  6. Fenugreek seeds-1 spoon
  7. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  8. Salt-according to taste
  9. Radish-200 grams
  10. Carrot-200 grams
  11. Garlic-150 grams
  12. Oil - 2 cups

How to make a mixed pickle?

  1. First, take off the garlic peel and clean it once with water.
  2. Now, wash the carrot and radish, cut it into long pieces, and keep it in an air-tight container with garlic.
  3. After this, fry all the other ingredients in oil in a pan and put them in the container.
  4. After this, heat the oil in the same pan and put it in the pickle.
  5. After two to three days, please take out the tasty pickle and serve it with food.

  6. Jimikand-300 grams
  7. Turmeric-1 teaspoon

  9. Ajwain-1 teaspoon

How to make yam pickle?

  1. First, peel the yam, cut it into small pieces, and clean it in water.
  2. After cleaning, boil the jimmikand or yam for three to four minutes on low flame. Now take it out of the pot and keep it in the sun for two to three hours.
  3. In a vessel, put all the ingredients and mix them well. Later add yam or jimmikand and mix it well.
  4. After mixing, serve it with food after keeping it in the sun for one to two days.

  6. Lemon juice - 3 tsp

How to make ginger pickle?

  1. First of all, cut ginger into long pieces and keep it for some time to dry in the sun.
  2. After this, clean the green chillies and tear them from the middle and mix them in ginger.
  3. Now add all the ingredients to this mixture and mix well. After two minutes, add lemon juice to it and mix it well.
  4. Now put the mixture in a container while keeping it in the sun for two days. Then, a tasty and healthy ginger pickle is ready.
