I remember the time I was out trying Singaporean cuisine, I ended up ordering a bao. The crispy chicken filling and the soft and moist exterior holding it together blended in my mouth really well. For the unversed, baos are soft buns made from yeast which are leavened so that they rise to become fluffy and soft. Also known as Baozi, baos are quite common in Chinese cuisine and today, you’ll find them featuring on various Asian menus. Most often, the buns or baos are steamed to attain the perfect texture and taste, right after they are filled with a stuffing.
This time, it was Ranveer Singh who wowed us with his bao-ful day. The enthusiastic Bollywood celebrity is well-known for his charismatic demeanor and high-spirited vibe. He is also often seen grabbing a yummy bite here and there. He even complimented Deepika Padukone for her cooking skills on his recent stories. Soft and melt-in-your-mouth fish with a crispy exterior is well-balanced with the outer soft buns complementing it really well. The fish finger are rolled into a circular shape and placed in the centre of the bao with some lettuce on the base and tartare sauce on top.
