  • 500g sweet potatoes 
  • 2 tbsp ghee  
  • 1 Green Cardamom  
  •  200ml Semi- skimmed Milk 
  • - 50g Jaggery 
  •  5-6 Almonds to garnish


  • Clean the sweet potatoes first and then boil them.
  • After boiling the sweet potatoes, mash them properly and keep aside.
  • Take a pan and add some ghee (clarified butter) and cardamom.
  • On a medium flame, add the mashed sweet potato and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Now add the milk and continue to simmer on a medium-high temperature for an additional 4-5 minutes.
  • Adding jaggery now, stir thoroughly for 3–4 minutes, or until halwa starts to pull away from pan sides.
  • Serve warm or cold with chopped almonds as a garnish.
