As per USDA, tomato includes just 18 calories per 100 grams, making it an ideal food for any calorie-restricted diet. It also comes packed with fibre and antioxidants that induce the feeling of fullness and boosts metabolism. Both these properties accelerate weight loss. Besides, tomatoes help in the production of an amino acid, called carnitine, which is known to enhance the body's fat burning abilities.
