The Internet is full of interesting content, especially when it comes to food. Be it the videos of street side food items that are sure to make you slurp, or that of bizarre food combinations that make us think hard why this exists? Then comes the reaction videos of people trying a particular food for the first time. While some reactions are priceless- remember the Spanish woman trying tandoori chicken for the first time? Or The Thailand blogger who tried south Indian food? Well, their reaction is enough to tell how much they loved it. But then there are reactions which are simply hilarious.

Case in point- a woman who tried sushi fir the first time. For the unversed, sushi is a rice roll with fish stuffed inside, and served along with soy sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi. The Japanese delicacy has found its fanbase across the world. But since sushi has a raw flavour of fish and rice, it is often not everyone’s cup of tea as it requires ne to develop the taste slowly. That is exactly what happened when a young woman tried sushi for the first time.

In an Instagram Reel shared by handle ‘greatestreactions’, originally shared by the woman herself Kylie Knobbs, we see the American woman excitedly saying how she’s trying sushi for the first time. But as soon as puts the whole sushi into her mouth, her expressions change from excitement to discomfort! She can be seen feeling pukish and visibly uncomfortable with the experience. She definitely seems to immediately regret the decision to try the dish. Meanwhile, her friends ask her “You didn’t like it?” and “What did you not like about it?”, while all she could do was somehow try to swallow the whole sushi in. Take a look at the hilarious video:

The video has raked in over 2.5m views and more than 140k likes. People were quick to react in all sorts of ways. While some suggested the type of sushi one should start with when trying for the first time, others simply sympathised with her. "Start with California rolls and then try other stuff" suggested a user, while another said “At the mall??? Not the best place to start.” A user who sympathised with her said "Poor her. Her taste buds must be thoroughly ill."

Well, the video simply proves if you are someone who hasn’t tried the Japanese staple yet, be prepared whenever you try it for the first time.
