Whenever I picture Thailand, the first thing that comes to mind is the picturesque views and the beautiful islands surrounding the country. This South-East Asian nation is home to a variety of pretty landscapes apart from several tourist attractions. Water sports are definitely a highlight of the place along with the vibrant nightlife. You would find the streets thronging with people, grabbing a bite from the hoards of food carts set up in the markets.

I remember about a special market in Thailand called the Floating market which is made on water with shops on either side of the water body. However, there is one interesting thing that I came across recently and I became very curious about it. It is called the aircraft juice of Bangkok. An Instagram handle, @ourcollecti0n shared a video of the making of this interesting juice and we’d like you to take a look too.

In the video, the seller begins by dunking a tall plastic glass with loads of crushed ice. He then adds an orange syrup to the glass followed by a green and a yellow syrup. He then adds some red syrup to it too. He keeps adding a variety of water-based syrups or juices to the glass. He has several coloured syrups stacked up in containers on his cart. Finally, when he has added the flavours of the customer’s choice, he takes the glass and inserts a protruding steel stick into it. While he moves the glass in circular motion, it is an aircraft-shaped machine attached to the edge of his cart that gives the drink a frothy texture.

Finally, he grabs a cap of the glass and pulls it up in a plastic glass holder and serves it to his customers. Doesn’t it sound very fascinating? To us, it surely does. Now if you can’t get hold of this juice, here are some juice recipes to try at home.

1.  Carrot Juice

Before winters end, grab those fresh red carrots and make this yummy juice. Filled with the goodness of the bright-coloured vegetable, the juice can be a simple carrot, water and honey combination or you could add cucumbers, ginger or even milk to it.

2.  Pineapple Ginger Juice

Freshly squeezed pineapples are extracted for their juice. This is then mixed with ginger-flavoured water or ginger ka ras. Squeeze in a dash of lime to the glass and enjoy this refreshing drink right away.

3.  Watermelon Juice

Summers are about to begin and so is the season of watermelons. The water-fruit is sweet and full of nutrition. It keeps you hydrated in the sweltering heat of the sun. Blend the deseeded watermelon in a mixer along with water. You can add honey and ice cubes to the mix along with some mint leaves.
