Watch: Here's How To Make Masala Papad Taco

A taco is a traditional Mexican snack consisting of a small hand-sized corn- or wheat-based tortilla, topped with a delicious filling. The tortilla is folded around the filling and eaten by hand. The fillings range from vegetarian to non-vegetarian ones and a number of sauces are also used in making tacos. Tacos are often garnished with various condiments, such as salsa, guacamole, or sour cream, and vegetables, such as lettuce, onion, tomatoes etc. Fusion cooking gives us a chance of giving this Mexican delight some desi charm, and making a taco out of some masala papad! This is exactly what we will be doing today 

A rainy day calls for a cool recipe and what better than the recipe of Masala Papad Taco by Home Chef Chirag? This snack is loaded with flavour and fun. Have it during chai times or make it a fun treat for the kids. You could even serve the Masala Papad Taco as a cocktail party snack! This versatile Taco with a desi twist is a guaranteed hit. Here’s the recipe to this treat: 

Papad (take whichever type of papad you like)

Stuffing 1 (for 4-5 papads):-

Tomato (1)

Onion (1)

Coriander (1/4 cup)

Garlic (2-3 cloves, finely minced)

Green chilli (1 finely chopped)

Salt (as per taste)

Ketchup (2-3 tbsps)

Lemon juice (1tbsp)

Stuffing 2:-

Sweet corn (1/2 cup)

Capsicum (1/2 cup)

Onion (1/4 cup)

Mixed herbs (1tbsp)

Mayonnaise (2-3 tbsps)

Method: 

Stuffing 1: Mix the tomatoes, onion, coriander and garlic.  Add some salt and tomato sauce to the mixture. Next, put some green chillies and squeeze some lemon juice on top of the mixture. Mix everything well. 

Stuffing 2: In another bowl, mix sweet corn, capsicum and onion. Sprinkle the mixed herbs and mayonnaise and mix everything well. 

On a flat pan, roast the papads. Carefully, fold the papads in the shape of tacos. 

Assemble the taco by putting both the stuffing one by one. Enjoy your desi tacos along with your favourite beverage.
