Crawford keeps stirring it continuously throughout to avoid the formation of lumps and prevent it from burning. Once the sugar browns and melts completely, you simply need to remove the pan from the heat and add butter to it. Next, she pours in heavy cream and some sea salt. Mix everything well to form a smooth and consistent salted caramel sauce and enjoy it seared over anything you like.
