Cooking isn’t an easy task and we understand that. But it isn't rocket science that laymen can’t get. And while our parents and grandparents may love us unconditionally, there are times when they can’t hold back their disappointment in us. Such was the case recently in a viral video, where a grandmother is clearly distressed at the ‘stupidity’ of her grandson while working in the kitchen, and her reaction is winning hearts on the internet.

Originally created by @holdendavenport, the video was re-shared by the Instagram page ‘Pubity’. It garnered over 22.3 million views in just a couple of days. It has over 1 million likes and more than 13.5k comments as well. In the video, we can see the content creator trying to pull a prank on his grandmother in the kitchen. With a bowl of steamed broccoli kept in front of him and an iron box in his hand, he tried to show that he’ll be using the appliance to steam the vegetables. He calls his grandmother to ask how long he is supposed to do so. The grandmother is too stunned to speak in the beginning, but shows him the steamer that he should have used. When the man doesn't budge and continues to steam with the iron, she politely says that he clearly needs some help or maybe should go back to school.

Instead of lashing out at him, she simply steps out of the kitchen saying, “Well, maybe, we could get you some help.” The grandmother’s calm reaction at such a moment has left the netizens in splits.

"This man did a steaming veg prank on his grandma ???? When she paused and said IDK what to say. Maybe, we can get you some help. I lost it,” read the caption on the video. Take a look at it here:

The hilarious video has gone viral on Instagram, and users can't stop reacting to it. "And that's the moment grandma knew the family line ended with her grandson", read one comment. A user said, "she's trying to figure out where it all went wrong", while another comment read, "for a second, grandma considered if she was the one losing her mind". Some other comments on the video were:

"She was definitely re-evaluating the meaning of life."

"That grandma is soooo cute. I wanna give her a bear hug."

"That's the face of 'I'm not mad, just disappointed."

"She held her hand like she felt she failed her ancestors, there's a glitch in the bloodline."

"I think she immediately went and prayed for him...LOL."

Besides this, many people thought of doing the same with their own grandparents. Would you do so too? Do let us know.
