Actor Vijay Varma, who is best known for his performances in Gully Boy and Darlings, has been receiving praises for his fine performance globally for the Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dahaad. The show, which had an OTT release sometime last year, received a lot of praises for the ensemble cast’s performances, which also included Varma as the antagonist. Following the rave reviews from audience after its release, the cast was invited to represent the show at the Berlin Film Festival in Germany – from which the actor shared a collection of throwback photographs.
In one of the pictures, Varma was seen taking the time to relish a slice of pizza, along with a beverage while he posed for the camera in a green-striped suit. The actor, who is all set to star in fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s production with Naseeruddin Shah and Fatima Sana Shaikh, also shared an image of a beautiful edible arrangement that was sent to his hotel room by the film’s production team. The fancy spread included a bottle of Fratelli Sangiovese wine, a cheese platter for one as well as an assortment of bite-sized desserts.

The platter of treats – which included a macaroon, mini cheesecake, chocolate truffle, berry tart and what appeared to be a cronut topped with white chocolate and a swirl of whipped cream. The gesture also came with a sweet hand-written note which welcomed the actor for a schedule that is all set to take place in Delhi. Known to have a soft spot for Hyderabadi cuisine, Varma was appreciated for his lean physique in his last movie release, Jaane Jaan – after which he divulged the contents of his ‘magic diet’, that consisted of upma, poha, khichdi-dahi. The charismatic actor, who swears by a sustainable way of eating, even includes indulgences like Osmania biscuits as part of his snacks, if and when the craving strikes.
