Since childhood, we have all been asked to eat all our fruits and veggies. But rarely have we done that. Isn’t it? Personally, I used to hate fruits during my early years,  but over time I have learnt to appreciate the benefits of fruits, albeit the hard way. Seasonal fruits are a boon for our health and there’s no doubt about it. If you still hate fruits like I used to, the bad news is that there is still no way of escaping them. Even actor Vicky Kaushal has accepted it now. Don’t believe us? His latest Instagram story is proof! The Bollywood heartthrob is super active on social media and keeps sharing regular updates with his fans and followers on Instagram.

The Uri: The Surgical Strike actor also keeps sharing his diet secrets, his indulgences and much more from his food diaries. Recently he took to his Instagram stories to share what looks like his brekkie. A bowl full of what looks like jamun or Indian black berry made its way to Vicky’s morning meal, and he shared a video of it with a side of humour. Sharing a video of the bowl full of the fruit while on his way in the car, he added a song to go with ‘berries’. Can you guess which one? ‘Bairi Piya Bada Bedardi’ from the movie Devdas. Take a look at what he shared:

The song definitely sums up the life of anyone who may not like berries so much. And it seems like Vicky is one of them. Speaking of jamun, the tarty and sweet Indian berry makes for a tasty snack and one of the best summer fruits to binge on. Not only do these deep purple berries promise good health but are also great in taste. Also known as the black plum, the deep-purple fruit is referred to as the ‘fruit of the gods’, and why wouldn’t it? It comes brimming with health benefits. A rich source of iron, calcium, Vitamin C and B, jamun is just what you need this summer season.

Coming back to Vicky and his love-hate relationship with ‘berry’, what relationship do you have with jamun? Let us know.
