Vegan Chocolate Recipes That Are A Hit At Every Party

Of late, many people have increasingly started adopting a vegan diet. Vegan celebrities like Sonam Kapoor have been encouraging their fans and followers to turn vegan. A vegan diet is essentially a diet that is free of animal products and byproducts. A lot of restaurants in Indian cities, now have a vegan special menu and grocery stores are filled with products that cater to vegans. With an increasing awareness around veganism, foodies are eager to try out new vegan recipes. While there are many delicious vegan recipes to try out, there’s nothing better than trying out vegan desserts made from vegan chocolate. Vegan Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients: 

  1. 140 grams of all-purpose flour 
  2. One and a half cups of vegan chocolate chips 
  3. Half cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  4. One-fourth cup of mashed avocado
  5. Half teaspoon salt
  6. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  7. One-fourth cup of any neutral-flavored oil 
  8. Three fourths cup of sugar
  9. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method: 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper. 
  2. Make the batter by mixing together the mashed avocado and oil well. Add in the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, vanilla extract, salt, and water and stir until mixed well. Use a spatula to gently fold in 1 cup of the chocolate chips until just combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan by spreading it in even layers. Sprinkle evenly the remaining half cup of chocolate chips. Bake for 20 minutes. 
  4. Cool for 25 minutes before serving.

Vegan Chocolate Mousse 

Ingredients:

  1. 120g of vegan dark chocolate 
  2. Half a cup of aquafaba
  3. 80ml of maple syrup
  4. 60ml of soy milk
  5. Salt
  6. Half teaspoon vanilla extract

Method: 

  1. In a bowl melt and mix maple syrup, milk, chocolate, vanilla extract and salt. Stir until the chocolate has melted completely and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the aquafaba for around 10 minutes using an electric whisk.
  3. Gently and slowly fold in the chocolate mix. Once the mix is well combined, spoon into individual portions and place in the fridge to set for at least an hour before serving.
  4. When you’re going to serve, add your favourite toppings.

Vegan Chocolate Cake 

Ingredients: 

  1. Two-thirds cup unsweetened applesauce
  2. Three fourths cup of cocoa powder
  3. One cup unsweetened almond milk
  4. One teaspoon salt
  5. Two cups all purpose flour
  6. Half cup of melted coconut oil
  7. One tablespoon apple cider vinegar 
  8. Two teaspoons baking powder
  9. Two cups sugar
  10. One and a half teaspoons baking soda
  11. One tablespoon pure vanilla extract

Chocolate cake - 

Method: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease two 9-inch cake pans. 
  2. Measure 1 cup unsweetened almond milk and add the tablespoon of vinegar to it. Stir slightly and set aside. 
  3. In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk well to combine.
  4. Next add the oil, vanilla, applesauce, and almond milk and vinegar mixture. Mix until well combined. 
  5. Lower the speed and carefully pour in the boiling water, continuing to mix into the cake batter until combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between your cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes. After 10 minutes of cooling remove the cake from the pan and cool completely before frosting.

For the frosting - 

Method: 

  1. Add the cocoa powder to a large bowl and whisk well. 
  2. Add the softened vegan butter and mix until creamed. 
  3. Add half of the powdered sugar and half of the almond milk, and mix until combined. Add the rest of the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  4. Frost the cake using a butter knife.
