Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Gurupurab, was celebrated yesterday (November 8). One of the most important festivals of the Sikh community, Gurupurab is an auspicious day that marks the birth anniversary of the first Sikh guru and the founder of Sikhism - Guru Nanak Dev. This year marked the 553rd birth anniversary of the Sikh guru. Every year, Gurupurab (or Guru Nanak Jayanti), coincides with Kartik Purnima, which falls 15 days after Diwali, according to the Hindu calendar. Sikhs all around the world celebrate this festival with a procession in the morning, called Nagar Kirtan, followed by people visiting Gurudwaras, lighting candles, doing seva and preparing Kadha Prasad. And it seems like many of our Bollywood celebrities did the same.

Actor Vaani Kapoor gave us a glimpse of her Gurupurab celebrations, and it was a treat! The actor took to her Instagram handle to share glimpses of how she rang in the festival in a traditional foodie way. Vaani made Kadha Prasad at home and also spent time in the kitchen. In a short video she shared in her Instagram stories, we saw her stirring the kadhai, in which she was cooking the prasad. It looked like she had put in a lot of effort in preparing this delicacy, as the outcome looked absolutely tempting. Take a look:
