Mawa To Paneer: 3 Types Of Jalebis You Must Try

I can’t stop myself from drooling over jalebis. Can you? I swear I don't want anything else from life, especially if I get 'garmaa-garam jalebi with rabdi' for breakfast. Jalebi is quite a typical dessert served during get-togethers, at parties, or when guests are at home. Jalebi is famous not only in India but also abroad. When prepared well and served dipped in sugar syrup, it is palatable as well as satisfactory. Let us tell you that even today, in states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, jalebi and boondi are served to people on Independence Day. So jalebi lovers, today we will tell you three 'hatke jalebi recipes' that you can easily make at home. 

Paneer Jalebi

Ingredients:

  1. Ghee/oil - as required for frying
  2. Sugar powder - 200 grams
  3. All-purpose flour - 2 cups
  4. Arrowroot - 1 teaspoon
  5. Red colour - a pinch
  6. Paneer - 150 grams

Method:

  1. First, put paneer, flour, colour and arrowroot in a mixer; grind them well and take them out in a vessel.
  2. Now, prepare a solution by adding water, according to the need. 
  3. Prepare sugar syrup by adding sugar and water to a pan; heat oil in another pan.
  4. After this, put the flour mixture in the vessel for jalebi preparation; make it in the shape of jalebi in hot oil and fry it till it becomes golden.
  5. After frying the jalebi, take it out after dipping it in the syrup for about 30 seconds.

Mawa Jalebi

Ingredients:

  1. Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  2. Sugar powder - 1 cup
  3. Oil / Ghee - for frying
  4. Maida - 1/2 cup
  5. Milk - 1/4 cup
  6. Mawa - 1 cup

Method:

  1. First, combine mawa, milk, cardamom, and maida in a mixer. Now, prepare a solution by grinding it well.
  2. Prepare sugar syrup by adding sugar powder and water to a pan.
  3. After this, keep the oil in another pan for heating. 
  4. Now, pour the mawa batter into the jalebi making vessel; fry it well in oil by making it in the shape of jalebi.
  5. After frying the mawa jalebi, put it in the syrup and take it out in a vessel after a few seconds.

Imarti

Ingredients:

  1. Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  2. Oil/ghee - 1 cup for frying
  3. Urad dal - 2 cups soaked
  4. Red colour - a pinch
  5. Sugar - 1 cup  

Method:

  1. First, add water with lentils and colour in the mixer and prepare the solution by grinding it well.
  2. After this, add cardamom powder and blend it well; prepare sugar syrup by adding sugar and water to a pan.
  3. Put oil in another pan for heating; after this, pour the solution through a pipe with a nozzle or a hole in a cloth and make it in the shape of an imarti in hot oil and fry it well.
  4. After frying the imarti, put it in the syrup and take it out after a few seconds.
