Tried Deepika Padukone's Favourite Choco Chip Cookies Recipe Yet

Let’s just agree that one of the most popular cookie flavours is definitely chocolate chip cookies. They not just go well with your cup of tea, but also work well as a dessert. Chocolate chip cookies are also a hit across all age groups. And if you believe Shivesh, even Deepika Padukone swears by choco chip cookies as her favourite indulgence. The Bollywood actor seems to have shared her penchant for baking time and again, and have confessed to having a soft spot for chocolate chip cookies. And recently, Shivesh shared the recipe for what he claimed were Deepika's favourite chocolate chip cookies.  

Sharing a video on Instagram, Shivesh said that this recipe is supposedly Deepika Padukone's favourite chocolate chip cookie. "So while browsing on the internet, I chanced upon this chocolate chip cookie recipe that is apparently Deepika Padukone's favourite cookie recipe! It looks very interesting so I tried making a batch in my kitchen! They turned out to be so delicious, you really have to try this one," he wrote in the caption of the post. The video of chocolate chip cookies has already garnered over 1.7 million views and 127k likes.

Here's the recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies by Shivesh Bhatia.

Ingredients: 

  • 1/2 cup butter 
  • 1/2 cup castor sugar 
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar 
  • 1/4 cup icing sugar 
  • 1 egg + 2 egg yolks 
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence 
  • 1 + 1/2 cup maida 
  • 1 tsp baking powder 
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda 
  • 1/2 tsp salt 
  • 200 gms chocolate chips

Method: 

  • Combine butter, icing sugar, castor sugar and brown sugar in a bowl till smooth consistency. 
  • Now add the egg yolks and one egg along with the vanilla essence. 
  • Mix in the dry ingredients such as baking powder, baking soda, maida, and salt. 
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and let the batter freeze for some time. 
  • Take it out and roll it into small balls. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
