Masala roti is a delicious, heavy and spicy Indian flatbread that is infused with loads of traditional Indian spices. Ingredients- 

  1. 1 cup wheat flour
  2. ¼ cup gram flour
  3. Salt
  4. Carom seeds
  5. 1 tablespoon zeera
  6. Asafoetida
  7. Crushed coriander seeds
  8. Finely chopped coriander
  9. Green chilli
  10. Red chili powder
  11. 2 tablespoon ghee

Steps in the making- 

  1. Take a big bowl and add salt, asafoetida, wheat and gram flour. Knead a smooth dough using water.
  2. Using the dough, make small balls and then flatten the balls for making roti. Grease the flattened balls with ghee. 
  3. Meanwhile, take another bowl for making the stuffing. Add zeera, red chili powder, coriander seeds, chopped coriander and green chilies. Make sure to add a tablespoon of ghee to achieve a proper binding of the mixture. Mix everything well. 
  4. Spread this mixture over the flattened dough and then roll into balls.
  5. Again, flatten the stuffed balls using a rolling pin.
  6. Transfer into a heated pan and heat the roti from both the sides on a low-medium flame until it looks crispy and turns brownish in colour,

Masala roti is ready! Serve hot and enjoy.
