Gin is a British spirit that has been celebrated for years, since it came into existence in 1689. It is made from juniper berries and is one of those alcohols that is low in calories, with no saturated carbohydrates or fats. It is a spirit that does not go well neat, so we have to look at its evergreen partner – tonic water. Gin and tonic together make one of the best and most popular alcoholic drinks. And since 2010, we have been celebrating international gin and tonic day on 19th October.

So, it goes without saying that International Gin and Tonic Day, a global celebration to show appreciation for this iconic cocktail is around the corner! Traditionally made with gin, tonic water, along with a lime wedge or slice, it’s a drink world famous for its botanical and zesty flavours. Diverse in its taste, match it with the seasons, summer, spring, or winter, and without fail it’ll liven up the summer, or beat the chills accordingly.

As a world leader in premium spirits, Beam Suntory is raising a toast to this popular drink by bringing its portfolio of two premium gins - the quintessential London Dry Gin – Sipsmith, and its Japanese Craft Gin - Roku. Let us look at 6 amazing gin and tonic recipes to celebrate the day.
