Tillotama Shome’s love for South Indian food persists as she shares yet another glimpse of her home-style vegetarian meal with her fans. Getting candid about missing Kerala, she shared a photograph of her lunch plate that included a bowl of red rice congee, a stir fry of raw banana with coconut, a dry green moong preparation, a lentil dish with vegetables and a South Indian style mango pickle. Captioning her sneak peek, Shome said, “Since I was missing Kerala, @thatthalasserygirl sent me a fix – red rice konjee, raw banana mezhukupuratti, green moong thoran, Kerala parippu with ashgourd and drumstick.”
No stranger to authentic South Indian food, the Mirror actress has been a long-time fan of chef Marina Balakrishnan’s cooking. Her admiration for Balakrishnan’s cooking has been one that has continued to grow, so much so that she even touted the simple meals as ‘medicine.’ Having previously shared a delicious spread of string hoppers, aviyal, stew and payasam with fellow actress Konkona Sen Sharma, Shome has also enjoyed meals puttu-kadala curry, ela ada and even the grand Onam sadya spread in the past.
