We are moving towards long summer days as April is just around the corner and the temperatures are rising by the day. And we can’t help but think of ways to combat the heat, sweat and more that the season brings with it. But what makes the season a happy one for all are the fresh and juicy fruits such as the watermelon. This uber sweet juicy fruit holds a staple position in our summer diet. In fact, it won't be an exaggeration to say that we all eagerly wait for the summers to indulge in this super hydrating fruit.

Besides soothing our souls with its slices, watermelon refreshes us from within on a sultry hot summer day. It is a perfect rescuer when the temperatures start to soar. After all, watermelon contains almost 92% water, which helps maintain the water balance in our body and compensates for the lost energy. If we talk about why watermelon is good for us, there are several health benefits that it offers. On one hand its rind and flesh are packed with Citrulline, an amino acid that can regulate blood pressure levels and boost immune function, it is also known to be a storehouse of negative calories that help burn excess fat stored in our body during digestion.

On top of everything, watermelon is a versatile fruit. While most of us enjoy having chilled, crunchy watermelons as is, you can also include it in your diet in many different and equally delicious ways - from summer salad bowls with watermelon chunks to refreshing juices and smoothies for a sweeter delight. But we have found another amazing watermelon recipe that you can easily add to your breakfast table.
