If you want to eat healthy but don’t want to compromise on taste, you’re probably constantly looking for healthy recipes that can strike that perfect balance. Well, we’re here with one such recipe that isn’t just tasty but also extremely healthy. What’s more, it is perfect for all those who have a sweet tooth! Make yourself a chilled bowled of strawberry-flavoured Greek yoghurt right at home.

The two star ingredients of this healthy recipe for strawberry Greek yogurt are:

1. Strawberries: Not only do they taste sweet and have a wonderful fruity aroma but are also loaded with vitamin C that is an essential vitamin for our body. It keeps our immunity system strong and also protects us from the harmful action of free radicals.

2. Greek yoghurt: Apart from the fact that it is smooth and has a melt-in-your-mouth texture, Greek yoghurt is also a powerhouse of protein which is known to be the building block of bones and muscles. What’s more, it also contains probiotics which can ensure your gut stays healthy.

There is, however, some doubt about exactly what is Greek yoghurt. Well, when you remove, or strain out, all the whey (basically, the water you see in your bowl of curd), you get Greek yoghurt which means it has lesser calories but retains all the nutrients found in regular yoghurt such as protein.

Here’s what you’ll need to do to make this strawberry-flavoured Greek yogurt recipe right at home
Ingredients

4 to 5 strawberries

1 cup Greek yoghurt

1 ½ teaspoon honey

5 to 7 mint leaves

Preparation

Step 1: Remove the stems from all the strawberries and dice them up.

Step 2: Now, add the diced strawberries to a blender along with honey and mint.

Step 3: Use the blender to mix the ingredients. How long you blend the ingredients for depends on whether you want to have some pieces of strawberry in your yoghurt or want it to have a smooth texture. The longer you blend these ingredients, the fewer solid pieces you’ll have.

Step 4: Next, add this mixture to a bowl along with the Greek yoghurt. You can buy Greek yoghurt from a store, or prepare it right at home by hanging curd with a muslin cloth for a decent period of time in order to get rid of the whey.

Step 5: Whisk the ingredients together to ensure they’re mixed well together. You know your job is done when the consistency of this mix becomes smooth and slightly thick.

That’s it, ladies! Your strawberry-flavoured Greek yoghurt is ready. You can consume it right away, or chill it for some time in the refrigerator before consumption. In addition, keep in mind that honey and mint are optional ingredients. They add a sweetness and freshness to this yoghurt but in case you don’t like them, you can choose to skip them!
