If you are a social media buff then you must remember food trends that went viral in 2020. Remember Dalgona coffee and chocolate samosa pao? But these are things from the past because there is a latest food craze that’s out there and apparently it’s called nature’s cereals.

Basically, this fancy bowl is laden with fruits and instead of milk you add coconut water to it–and voila your bowlsome cereal is ready. This trend was started on TikTok by a user @natures_food, and is now becoming a rage all across social media–especially thanks to US pop star Lizzo’s stamp of approval.

So, have you tried it yet? If not then here’s the recipe for making your own version of nature’s cereal.

Why is this a great breakfast option?

If you notice closely, then you’ll notice that all the ingredients in this bowl are loaded with antioxidants. Plus, this bowl is packed with potassium, vitamin C, fibre, and other phytonutrients that are not just great for your skin but will also help in boosting immunity.

There is coconut water as well which keeps the electrolyte balance of your body up to the mark. That clearly means no fatigue, no dehydration, and no sun stroke.

If you are on diet or have adopted veganism then this is the best way to treat yourself at breakfast. Another reason why you can include this in your diet is that the glycemic index of this is on the lower side and there is no added sugar.

Nature’s cereal is quite vivacious. So you can add and subtract fruit options as per your liking. Just don’t add fruits that get  too ripe like banana or mango, as you may end up with a squishy mess on your hands.

But there’s a downside to eating nature’s cereal too

Since the only source of protein in a bowl of regular cereal is milk, which is replaced by coconut water in this version, you miss out on a balanced diet. That’s why, noshing on it on a regular basis is not really advisable. So, you can very well hop on other healthy options to restore essential nutrients.

So are you eager to try it out?
