This Handi Omelette Is Making Rounds On The Internet; Leaves Netizens Displeased

The moment we think about a wholesome and protein-filled breakfast, eggs cross our minds. With all the qualities that make them one of the best breakfast options, eggs are our go-to saviours for breakfast. Protein-rich, filling and versatile enough to be incorporated into a variety of delicacies in a jiffy, eggs are perfect to be served as breakfast. But what if we ask you your go-to egg breakfast? Omelettes? We know most of you will agree to this because there is nothing as quintessential as omelettes on a typical breakfast plate. While boiled eggs are too bland for some, sunny side-ups are too complicated to be cooked. The versatility of omelettes has made them the subject of numerous food trends. And on today’s trip down the trend line, we have come across another omelette trend that might be your next go-to eggy meal. This time we have brought before you handi omelette. The streets of India have welcomed this version of omelette and the video is doing rounds on the internet. Take a look yourself:

As seen in this video uploaded by @sadigaddi on Instagram, we can see a vendor making handi omelette in his stall. He first makes bread omelette on a tawa with some tandoori gravy over it, torches it for a smokey flavour and tops it with oodles of butter. He then adds these bread omelettes to a clay handi, tops them with plenty of grated cheese and again torches the cheese to melt it. He proceeds to melt a blob of butter and adds melted butter over the topped cheese before serving. Although the video looks quite tempting, netizens are worried about the amount of butter and cheese that go into the making of this omelette. The video has garnered over 175k views, 11k likes and some comments from the netizens.
