Most Bengali eateries are concentrated in the city’s CR Park neighbourhood, along with a popular restaurant in Greater Kailash. Oh! Calcutta

Oh! Calcutta is probably one of Delhi’s most well-known Bengali restaurants. The extensive menu features starters like mochar chop, Calcutta fish fry and chingri cutlet, and other dishes like aloo bhaja, cholar dal, bhetki maacher paturi, chingri malai curry, daab chingri, chicken chaap, kosha mangsho and classic railway mutton curry.

Maa Tara

Maa Tara has been known for serving authentic Bengali food for a few years now. Located in one of the lanes in CR Park Market, the place is reminiscent of Kolkata’s humble eateries. Try the chilli fish, fish egg pakoda, fish cutlet, aloo posto, potol bhaja, chingri malai curry, ilish bhapa and pomfret sorisa.

Amar Shonar Bangla

Another CR Park eatery, Amar Shonar Bangla serves tasty Bengali fare. Don’t miss the bhapa ilish, prawn kabiraji, begun bhaja, potol bhaja, aam dal, cholar dal, aloo posto, railway chicken curry, moori ghonto, telapiya, prawn malai curry and bhetki paturi. Dadu Cutlet Shop

Dadu Cutlet Shop in CR Park is the place to go to if you’re craving Bengali snacks. Besides mutton and chicken cutlets, the place also serves vegetable chop, fish chop, mutton chop and chicken chop. Non-Bengali snacks like kachori and spring rolls are also on the menu, but the cutlets remain the stars of the show.

Kolkata Biryani House

True to its name, Kolkata Biryani House is known for its Kolkata biryani, along with kathi rolls like aloo, paneer, egg, chicken and mutton. Mughlai dishes are also on the menu and there’s the option to order luchi. Finish your meal with some rosogulla and mishti doi.
