Indian Coffee House

Indian Coffee House has become a Bengaluru institution over the years. It is a humble, unpretentious place with plain wooden furniture and a one-page menu. While the food menu includes idli, vada, vegetable cutlets, dosa, sandwiches, egg preparations like omelette, fried egg and scrambled egg, and bread with butter and jam, the drinks section includes hot coffee, cold coffee and rose milk. Regulars tend to return for the filter coffee.

Located in Koramangala, Dyu Art Cafe serves as a place for both local and international artists to display their art. The food menu is extensive and features different types of breakfast, burgers, soups, salads, starters like cheese balls, cutlets, croquettes, fish fingers, sandwiches, pizza and mains like stroganoff, while the coffee menu includes affogato, melange (cappuccino topped with whipped cream, cafe miel (a shot of espresso topped with steamed milk and cinnamon, served with honey) and French press coffee.

Brahmin’s Coffee Bar is known for its reasonably priced South Indian breakfast and filter coffee. There’s no seating, so be prepared to stand and enjoy your order of idli, vada or kesari bath. Don’t forget to ask for some extra butter with your idli, which comes for an extra ₹15. Both the idli and vada are served with a generous amount of chutney, and make the ideal accompaniment to steaming hot filter coffee. Besides coffee, the drinks menu also includes tea and badam milk.
