Surya Kumar Yadav Relishes Mangalorean Seafood Spread In Karnataka

Indian cricketer Surya Kumar Yadav, who is also fondly known as ‘SKY’ by his teammates, has multiple reasons to celebrate off late. Fresh off of the iconic World Cup win where his catch was celebrated across the country, Yadav also celebrated his eighth wedding anniversary with wife, Devisha Shetty. As a way to honour her Mangalorean roots as well as cool his heels until its time for the next set of games, the cricketer was seen enjoying a traditional Mangalorean meal of fish and rice.

The coastal-inspired spread, which included a couple of portions of steamed rice, were served with accompaniments like a coconut-based curry, rava-crusted fried fish, a pan-fried fillet coated in a spicy masala as well as a whole fish smeared with a fiery chilli paste – all served with wedges of lime and slices of onion. The sumptuous meal, which was laid out on a table, appeared to be served in a home-style setting – as part of a family meal. Sharing a glimpse of his stay during the course of this trip, Yadav also divulged that he was put up at the same spot where the OTT hit film Kantara was shot.
