Summer comes with it a bounty of fruits that can be combined in drinks to keep the kids cool. Your children may be fatigued and dehydrated as a result of the extreme heat. Whether they're playing outside or indoors, we need to make sure they're getting enough liquids. Packed flavored drinks are something you should avoid at all costs. While you're making a glass of Lassi for everyone in the family, your kids can enjoy this refreshing drink too. To let your child, enjoy a lassi glass and quench their thirst, you can make several varieties of kid friendly lassi. 

Let's make some nutritious, tasty Lassi's for your kids.


1. Mango Lassi  

Mango is a fruit that no one can refuse to eat. They are a must-have during summer. Mangoes are adored by everyone, especially children. Who could say no to this juicy, sweet, and delectable fruit? Mango lassi is even better. It is one of the simplest mango recipes to try. It can be given to babies as early as 8 months after mangoes and curd/yogurt are introduced separately. This season, serve this delicious mango lassi to your kids. Mangoes are high in dietary fiber which aids in preventing constipation. They also enhance short-chain fatty acids in the body, resulting in a better microbial composition in the intestine. Make sure to include mango lassi in the menu, but in moderation. 

Recipe: In a blender, combine the 2 medium sized cut mango cubes, 1tsp honey (optional), a pinch of cardamom powder, and 1 cup curd. Blend everything until it's completely smooth. Pour it into glasses and serve immediately (you can also add sugar for extra sweetness). 

2. Strawberry Lassi 

Strawberry lassi is a great way to cool off in the summer. This creamy strawberry lassi is one of the simplest strawberry drinks to make, and it's safe for babies as young as 10 months after introducing strawberries alone. 

Recipe: In a juicer/blender, combine 1 cup chopped strawberries, 1 cup curd, 1 cup fresh cream, and 2 tbsp honey or sugar. Blend everything until it's completely smooth. Serve chilled. 


3. Chocolate Lassi 

Chocolates are enjoyed by almost every child. Let's create a nutritious recipe to include in your kid's diet. If your child hates curd, he or she will no longer dislike it. Your child will fall in love with this delectable lassi with a fantastic chocolate twist. 

Recipe: In a blender, add 1 cup of curd, 2 tbsp milk, ¼ cup chocolate syrup or sauce, and one tbsp sugar or honey. Blend until smooth and foamy, serve chilled. You can add some Choco chips to make it more attractive. 


4. Banana and Turmeric Lassi 

Banana Turmeric Lassi is light and refreshing, with a rich banana flavour complemented with earthy turmeric. This is a nutritious and kid-friendly drink that can be added to their daily diet. 

Recipe: In a blender, combine 1 large banana, 1 cup curd, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1/2 cup milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and 4 to 5 ice cubes until smooth and creamy. Serve chilled is a beautiful glass.  

5. Rose Lassi  

Rose lassi is a refreshing summer drink. It's a delectable twist on the traditional lassi, with rose flavor for a lovely pink tint and a refreshing taste. 

Recipe: Simply combine 1 cup curd and 1 tbsp sugar or honey in a blender. Add some rose petals or rose essence and blend until smooth and pink. Serve it cool.
