Shirley Temple needs no introduction in the world of mocktails. This classic non-alcoholic drink is made by combining ginger ale with grenadine, along with a hint of lemon. Served with a topping of maraschino cherries, it is said to be the world’s first mocktail, which is still not outdated. This fizzy mocktail has been a member of parties and family gatherings for several years.
Named after the well-known child actress, Shirley Temple, this sweet, refreshing and tangy drink was invented in the 1930s. The mocktail was crafted by the head bartender of Chasen’s, a Hollywood restaurant where the young actress used to frequently dine with her parents. Since its creation, this sweet and bubbly concoction has been counted among the most famous non-alcoholic drinks across the globe. Its popularity has also led to the birth of many exciting variations of the mocktail.
