Shilpa Shetty’s London Food Diary Is All About ‘Comfort Food'

One of the fittest actors of Bollywood, Shilpa Shetty is quite the inspiration when it comes to maintaining her physique and health. The 47-year-old actor is a mother of two children and a restaurateur. Yet, she still manages to take out time from her busy schedule to exercise and do yoga regularly. And if there’s anything that keeps her happy more than her routine and her family, it has to be food.  

Shilpa’s ‘Sunday binge’ is no stranger to us. Every weekend, the Bollywood diva teases our taste buds with her cheat meals, and we are left drooling for the rest of the day. Currently vacationing in London with her two kids, Viaan and Samisha, the actor is taking it slow and relaxing during the holiday season. Time and again, we see her sharing her daily nibbles on her Instagram stories, and while she’s in the UK, we saw her digging into what she calls, “Comfort food”.

On the table, one can spot potato wedges, along with a crusty bread, sautéed green peas, a bowl full of grilled vegetables and more. This wholesome spread looked absolutely delightful and we are quite tempted. However, this isn’t the first occasion when Shilpa has shown us her foodie side. Earlier, we’ve seen her gorging on desserts like chocolate ice cream, freak shakes, and doughnuts.  

In fact, we remember the time she got together with actor Ananya Panday for a fun challenge where both were seen relishing mini golgappas one after another. It was quite a treat to watch. In order to maintain herself, she keeps her diet in check and you’ll find her snacking on healthy bites like the Murmura mix that she was devouring some time ago. The puffed rice mixture - filled with peanuts, onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, and spices - looked very delicious.
