It’s a known fact that Bollywood sisters Sonam and Rhea Kapoor are big-time foodies. If you happen to follow them on social media, you would also know that the siblings like to keep their fans and followers updated about the food they enjoy. Speaking of the latest, Rhea is currently in Goa and it looks like her stay there is all about soothing sunsets and sumptuous local food.
The foodie is on a beachy vacation with her husband, director-producer Karan Boolani, and they are making the most of their time there. Rhea took to her Instagram feed to share some of the most picturesque views and delectable food she has sampled in Goa so far. The series of pictures begins with a red-hot curry. As mentioned in her caption, it is called Ambotik.
This is derived from two words, ‘ambot’, meaning spicy, and ‘tik’, meaning tangy. The two combine to form a tangy and spicy curry, usually filled with seafood like prawns or fish. The first one was definitely a fish Ambotik. Next up was a wider frame giving us a sneak peek into the accompaniments with this curry - like rice and rice breads. There was also a bowl of vinegared vegetables in the centre.
Then, there were a few shots of the beautiful sky and the place where Rhea is staying in Goa during her vacation. We also spotted some fried seafood delicacies in the end. One was panko fried prawns while the other was hot and spicy prawn appetisers. Amid all the meaty Goan delights, we even spotted something to soothe the sweet tooth. It was a creamy, light-green Sicily Pistachio Gelato.
