Fashion maverick and film producer Rhea Kapoor is also a die-hard foodie. She never leaves a chance to express her love for delicious dishes on social media. A celebrity who loves to host grand dinners for her friends and family, Rhea equally enjoys cosy meal dates with her husband, producer-director Karan Boolani. Thus, recently (on October 6) when she celebrated Karan’s 40th birthday, it came as no surprise that she went all out to make it the most indulgent one for him.
Currently, the couple is in Goa with some of their friends - including designer couple Kunal Rawal and Arpita Mehta - and the gang is having a great time with endless servings of food. Rhea took to Instagram to share a host of stories and a reel, capturing the celebrations, which kickstarted at midnight. In other stories that Rhea shared, we could see a glimpse of the lavish dinner spread that the birthday boy and the guests enjoyed. There was a classic table setup adorned with wildflowers, a chic candle stand, and warm lights, while there were exclusive food items curated for the night. It seemed to be curated by Chef Pablo Miranda. From king crab meat, pork ribs, massaman curry, and baked snapper to pandan rice and sambal, the feast was a foodie’s paradise.
And there’s more! The special birthday lunch featured an American feast full of chocolate puddings, toasted buns, waffles, and fried chicken. The evening saw a host of American and Mexican delicacies - including lamb sliders, smoked bone marrow, chipotle honey smoked chicken, duck roast, smoked bacon, and more.
