Rhea Kapoor Celebrates Diwali In Goa With A Variety Of Farsan

It’s normal for Diwali to be the time of year that everyone, and in particular the Bollywood A-List take to hosting lavish parties and events that become the talk of the town. But for some, this year has brought a Diwali that’s a little more reserved.  In past years Rhea Kapoor has splashed out on large and festive Diwali parties for her friends and family, but this year the fashionista and Bollywood producer seems to have done Diwali a little differently.

This year she, sister Sonam Kapoor and their spouses Karan Boolani and Anand Ahuja have escaped the city bustle and retreated to the sanctuary of Goa for the festive season. But even though they’re away from the classic Delhi Diwali and enjoying some sun, sea and sand, that doesn’t mean that they missed out on the Diwali feasting.

Rhea’s day featured some more unconventional Diwali meals such as tacos and a luscious-looking bowl of pasta carbonara at Marai, a bakery and deli in Arpora. Then with the sunny Goan day coming to a close the group got all dolled up in their Diwali best and celebrated the evening at the home of noted Fashion designer Sandeep Khosla, co-owner of Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. While there they munched on large platters of savoury farsan including piles of chaklis, nimki, sev, and other delectable snacking favourites.

In the last couple of days the Kapoor sisters have been treating the world to a glimpse inside their Goa vacation and all the delicious dishes they’ve been enjoying during their time there. Earlier posts included all the local specials like prawn curry rice, fish curry rice, grilled fish and many more delicacies to make their fans drool.

This beautiful and quiet Diwali seems like a fitting addition to a trip that seems to have been all about relaxing and kicking back in Goa’s scenic and peaceful atmosphere.
