This Summer, Try These Refreshing And Healthy Coolers

Of course, the first and the best way to stay hydrated is to drink lots of water. However, keeping hydrated doesn’t always have to be mundane. The process of refreshing and replenishing our bodies could be delightful and delicious. Several coolers and summer beverages will quench your thirst and keep your taste buds happy, and your body relaxed. 

While the sun-drenched streets are packed with summer coolers and energy drinks, the market has witnessed a massive paradigm shift regarding eating and drinking habits. As a result, modern-day consumers are aware and are also a lot more health-conscious. As a result, they adopt a healthier lifestyle and choose organic and homemade over artificial and genetically modified food and food products. With that as the backdrop, Amrita Pandey - Nutritionist and Trainer at Organic India - has listed a few easy, delicious and healthy summer beverage recipes that can be tried at home.     

Peppermint Chhach

Ingredients:

  1. Organic India Tulsi Peppermint Refresh sachets
  2. Coriander leaves
  3. Jeera powder
  4. Cold curd
  5. Rock salt

Method:

  1. Pour freshly boiled water over the Organic India Tulsi Peppermint Refresh sachets. 
  2. Let it steep for 3-4 minutes; remove sachets, refrigerate it till it cools down.
  3. Take 300 ml chilled or cold curd and blend the infused peppermint infusion.
  4. Add finely chopped coriander leaves, jeera powder and rock salt to taste.
  5. Serve with ice and mint leaves in a glass.

Mango Chia Pudding

Ingredients:

  1. Chia seeds
  2. Mango
  3. Milk

Method:

  1. Soak chia seeds in 1 cup of milk for an hour.
  2. Add fresh mango to a blender and make it into the puree.
  3. Mix the soaked chia seeds and mango puree in a mixing bowl, and whisk it until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixer into a jar, put some fresh mango slices and let it set in a refrigerator.

Cold Chickpea Cold Coffee

Ingredients:

  1. Chickpea (presoaked and dried)
  2. Cinnamon powder
  3. Milk/almond milk
  4. Honey

Method:

  1. Roast the chickpea in a pan till it turns brown, cool it to room temperature, and grind to get the chickpea powder.
  2. Pour the milk over 1-2 teaspoons of chickpea powder pinch of cinnamon powder, and blend well with the honey till it forms the foam.
  3. Pour in a mug and serve.
