Churros, the delectable fried dessert is a big part of Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. The sweet and savoury dish is also popular in Spanish-speaking countries, the Southwestern United States and France. Churros are also very similar to desserts served by the Ancient Greeks.
Churros are a classic street food with street vendors selling them fresh out of the pan. This happens mostly in countries such as Colombia, Peru, Spain, and Venezuela. It's also a very popular cafe food in Spain and is often served with hot chocolate. The dough for the churros is prepared using flour, water and salt and non-vegan churros might have butter, milk and eggs in them.
Churros are enjoyed all over the world and have been made into many variations. Straight churros are popular in Cuba and in Eastern Andalusia, the churros are much thinner than the usual ones.
