While it might seem rather strange and disgusting, many culinary cultures around the world eat various types of exotic food that could appeal only to those with an “acquired taste”, to say the least.
A few of them might even sound outright unbelievable like the penis fish in Korea which is typically eaten raw, sliced, and served with sauce, or snake soup in China, and even the fat-bottomed ants of Colombia.
Such types of food have a history that might point to the unavailability of food or the habit of optimally utilising resources. Some of them are even sold at premium prices.
