Ira Khan, who seems to have embraced the culture and traditions of soon-to-be-husband, Nupur Shikhare – celebrated a pre-wedding function with her fiancé dressed to the nines in a red sari. In a series of photos shared by the latter, the happy couple seemed to be enjoying a meal that was served on banana leaves and looked like a full-blown Maharashtrian feast. On the menu was puran poli with a lentil filling, amti, modak, a variety of chutneys and some kind of a halwa on the side. The couple were seen feeding bites of their meal to one another, as they relished the spread side-by-side.
Previously seen together at their Kelvan ceremony, which was also a feast of spicy gravies, thecha and curries, the duo have set an example of how to embrace traditions gracefully. Sharing his love for Khan with the glimpses of the ceremony, Nupur captioned the post saying, “One more day of being your fiancée @khan.ira. I love you so much.” Kickstarting the series of pre-wedding functions a couple of days ago, Nupur was welcomed by his mother and relatives with a grand floral arrangement at home.
