Best Dinner Restaurants Trail In Hyderabad

By Nikita Toppo

Hyderabad is the quintessential modern Indian city, with a diverse, lively population. No wonder then that the city has plenty of places serving great food across various cuisines - Italian, Continental, Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, and more. The younger crowd gravitates towards Italian and Continental food, citing the health benefits, while a few prefer Pan-Asian food like Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean cuisines.

*Some restaurants listed in this trail serve non-vegetarian food, but have been added because they have good vegetarian options on their menu as well.

  • Exotica Restaurant and Bar

This is one of the best casual dining restaurants in Hyderabad for couples, with a fantastic ambiance and a delightful menu. A romantic rooftop set-up with indoor and outdoor seating takes you to another world. Besides, they serve pleasurable vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods from North Indian to Mughlai and Chinese and have a bar to top it off.

  • Bidri

The fine dining establishment Bidri, housed at the Marriott Hotel in Hyderabad, serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. The client is engulfed in well-lit but comfortable rooms as they take in the live music. The Badami Chicken Shorba to start the evening will have a really well-balanced taste. Next, you can have the Murgh Dum Biryani paired with Palak Gosht, which will prove to be an incredible pairing. Finish the dinner with Malai Kulfi Falooda. This is an absolute must-see for any serious fine-dining enthusiast. This is a fantastic bargain for the overall experience that this place provides.

  • Thai Pavilion

The greatest Thai restaurant in the nation is called Thai Pavilion. With the opening of the first Thai Pavilion in the early 1990s, Chef Ananda Solomon exposed the nation to true Thai food. He had learned about and experienced Thailand's food and culture by living there for half of his life.

The restaurant's menu is always changing. In the centre of the restaurant is an interactive kitchen that is enjoyed by the patrons. It offers couples a private space. For individuals who want to dine in a traditional manner, certain tables have sunken seats. The staff also suggests a superb way to combine the meal with an exceptional selection of both young and old wines. You won't be disappointed by the staff's advice.

  • Okra

Nestled within the opulent Hyderabad Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre, Okra effortlessly captivates guests with its alluring ambience. Upon entering, you are greeted by an elegant, contemporary setting that exudes warmth and sophistication. The soft lighting, plush seating, and tastefully curated decor create an inviting atmosphere, ideal for a leisurely meal or a special occasion.

  • Prego

If premium Italian wines and fresh pizzas and pastas with a mesmerizing poolside view are your thing, then Prego is the place for you. Extremely well lit interiors with outdoor seating options by the pool beckoned us. With Italian food on our minds, we ordered the Calamari Fritti for the Antipasti. Then we had the Salmon Al Forno with Roasted Baby Potato. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the ambience provided by the poolside outdoor seating. While the food was somewhat pricey, it neither lacked quality nor quantity. We recommend you give this place an honest chance. We’re sure it will surprise you.

  • Tatva Restaurant

Synonymous with the name, this restaurant offers vegetarian dishes in a luxurious fine dining experience. Whether a romantic dinner or a special celebration, the elegant ambience with tasteful lighting and plush seating offered by this place is bound to impress you. Having heard a lot about their vegetarian food, we ordered the Beetroot And Orange Salad, followed by a Manchow Soup. Feeling refreshed and ready for the meal to come, we had the Pindi Chole with Olive Naan. The spicy and well cooked chickpeas with the soft naan totally mesmerized us. Rest assured, we’ll be visiting again, and we urge you to do the same.

  • Parampara

Featuring traditional vegetarian cuisine with brick lined interiors and wooden booths, the warm and cozy ambience is welcoming. Walls adorned with traditional Rajasthani art enhance the ambience. We commenced our evening with a Mushroom Soup and Spring Roll. We decided to try the Pineapple Kebab and were quite surprised at the resulting flavor. For the main course, we had the Punjabi Kofta with Makai Roti. We relished this combination, and after indulging in some Instagram posts, we ended the meal with Gulab Jamun. This place is a value for money proposition that we think you shouldn’t miss.

  • The Water Front

Both indoor and outdoor seating are available here. The outdoor seating with a view overlooking Hussain Sagar Lake is the highlight here. We picked one such spot overlooking the lake and got set to slay the food. We started with a sweet corn soup and a Honey Chili Potato. With the starters out of the way, we proceeded to the Kadai Subz and Butter Chicken with Jeera Rice. Having enjoyed this combo, we moved on to Gajar Ka Halwa. Our overall experience was quite pleasant, and we loved the ambience above all. While the food was great, we recommend you give this restaurant a shot, at least for the view.

  • Veerji Ka Dhaba

For people who want to have an authentic dhaba experience in Hyderabad, this is one of the right places. The simple seating with open interiors is a welcome change from the average city restaurant. Now, to make it very clear, this is a vegetarian restaurant, but even non-vegetarians are bound to relish many of the menu offerings here. Thinking of the dhabas in North India, we ordered a Paneer Tikka and Gobi Manchurian for starters. Then we had the Kaju Rice with Alu Mutter and were left licking our fingers. Finally, a Lassi washed everything down well and left us satiated. Must visit for those who want authentic Dhaba food.

  • Signature Grills

Innovative wall lighting seems to be the highlight of this place, ambience-wise. The quirky wooden furniture only adds to this ambience. Seeing chaats on the menu, we decided to forego the starters and order ourselves a Ragada Chaat and an Aam Tikki Chaat. We loved the chaats and wanted to go in for seconds, but decided against that as we were eyeing the Kashmiri Kofta which we ordered with Masala Kulcha and we devoured this combination. For dessert, we had the Coconut Mango Burfi. Delectable and sweet, the burfi appealed to our sweet tooth, and we happily went in for seconds. We highly recommend you try the food here. We’re quite sure you won’t be disappointed.
