Paneer Pakora And Veg Dip: Tasty And Full Crunch

Dishes made with Paneer are very popular in India. Paneer Pakora is one of them. Paneer pakora is a quick evening snack that has a lovely crispy texture with moist, soft paneer from within. Mainly made with Paneer and Besan, this delicious Paneer Pakora comes together under 30 minutes and is sure to become your favourite. The Veg Dip compliments the Paneer Pakora and gives it an awesome flavour.

Ingredients:

Paneer Marination  - 

  • 200gms Paneer 
  • A Pinch of Salt 
  • ½ tsp - Turmeric
  • 1 tsp - Chilli Powder 
  • 1 tsp - Chaat Masala  
  • ½ tsp - Black Salt 
  • 1tbsp - Chopped Coriander
  • ½ tsp - Kasoori Methi Powder

For Batter - 

  • ½ cup - Besan 
  • Salt according to your preferred taste
  • ¼ tsp - Turmeric 
  • 1 tsp - Chilli Powder 
  • 2 tsp - Chaat Masala 
  • 1no - Chopped Green Chilli
  • ½ tsp - Ajwain 
  • 1 tsp - Chopped Ginger
  • ¼ tsp - Garam Masala
  • 200ml - Water 

For Coating -

  • 2cups - Cornflakes 
  • A Generous Pinch Chaat Masala 
  • Oil to deep fry 

For Veg Dip -

  • ½ cup - Mayonnaise 
  • 2 tbsp - Chopped Onion 
  • 2 tbsp - Chopped Tomato
  • 1 tbsp - Chopped Cucumber 
  • Salt according to your preferred taste
  • 1 tbsp - Chopped Coriander  
  • 1no - Chopped Green Chilli 
  • 1 tsp - Chaat masala 

Method:

  • First of all, cut the paneer into strip-like pieces and place them in a plate/container
  • Now for the marination, put some salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, chaat masala, a pinch of black salt, chopped coriander and kasoori methi powder
  • Mix it well with lose hands and make sure the paneer strips don't break 
  • Now for making the batter, take a container and put the besan in it along with some salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, chaat masala, green chilli, ajwain, chopped ginger and garam masala
  • Now add some water and mix it well so the lumps get away, again add some water and make it thick and pouring
  • Now put the batter on the paneer strips kept in the plate/container coating them properly
  • Now take the corn flakes on another plate and crush them into small pieces, it will make the paneer pakora crunchy
  • After that, take the paneer strip and put it in the corn flakes and coat it properly from all sides, do this for all the paneer strips
  • Now it’s time to fry, so take some oil and heat it on a medium flame
  • Now fry the panner strip coated with corn flakes and take it out on a plate to serve

Veg Dip

  • Take a container and put the mayonnaise in it
  • Add chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped cucumber, salt, chopped coriander and chopped chilli and whisk it properly 
  • Now add some chaat masala, again whisk and take it out in a bowl
  • The Veg Dip is ready to serve with paneer pakora
